Join 79 Years of Seaside Tradition on the Yorkshire Belle

Would you like to be part of 79 years of Bridlington pleasure cruise history and become a seasonal crewmember aboard the Yorkshire Belle?

We are currently recruiting additional part-time and full-time seasonal crew members. Hours will vary week to week depending on the sailing schedule and will include weekends and evenings.

The Role Includes (but is not limited to):

  • Welcoming and assisting passengers, ensuring their safety, comfort and enjoyment on board – including supporting boarding and disembarkation.

  • Lifting and positioning heavy gangways at varying gradients depending on the tide.

  • Cleaning and preparing the vessel before and between cruises.

  • Bar work, including serving drinks, snacks and souvenirs, restocking and maintaining cleanliness.

  • Selling tickets and speaking with customers at the ticket office.

  • Rope handling duties such as throwing, catching, pulling and coiling ropes to secure the vessel.

  • Receiving and moving stock deliveries, including barrels and cases of beer.

  • Working outdoors in all weather conditions and going to sea in varying sea states.

Requirements

Due to maritime legislation, applicants must be over 18 years old and in good physical health, as the role involves heavy lifting, stairs and steep gangways. Crew members may be required to undertake a marine medical examination (paid for by the business).

This is a seasonal position. Full training and uniform will be provided. Salary will be discussed at interview.

Volunteers are also welcome; however, we do ask for regular commitment to ensure sufficient crew availability for safe operation.

If you are interested, please send your CV and covering letter to jobs@yorkshire-belle.co.uk to apply or arrange an informal meeting to discuss the role further.
